An experienced interior design professional in Salem, Massachusetts, Kim McOwan is the lead interior designer at Charette Interior Design, Ltd., as well as a principal at the firm. The Salem design professional collaborates with clients and the in-house design team to establish and implement a diversity of design concepts. As principal, Kim McOwan manages many additional responsibilities at the company, such as coordinating with vendors, managing project documentation, supervising installations, and business development and growth.
In addition to her leadership role with Charette Interior Design, Kim McOwan spent two years as an interiors creative director and senior interior designer for Treehouse Design, Inc., a role that encompassed all aspects of interiors creative direction and scope during the design and construction of new homes, as well as home renovation projects. During her time as a senior interior designer at Carpenter and MacNeille, she guided the interior design direction of numerous residential projects.
Kim McOwan studied psychology and English literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During her time as an interior and environmental design student at the University of California, Los Angeles Extension, she received a Network of Executive Women in Hospitality Scholarship (NEWH) and earned an Ellerbe Becket Architecture internship.
